Recirculate - trash or treasure

OK, so you don’t want or need it anymore but who’s to say that someone else can’t find a use for it!

Both the Wakatipu Recycling Centre and Wanaka Wastebusters accept and sell recycled goods in working order and good condition. Items for sale include second hand goods such as furniture, bedding, clothes, electrical items, books and sports equipment.

Another handy resource is the Queenstown Lakes District’s resource exchange site recirculate.org.

This website allows people to pass things around the community. Businesses or households with useful “waste” products list them online then people looking for things search the site, and arrange to pick them up. All the goods are free and so are listings. You can list things you want to get rid of, or things you’re looking for.

Here are some quick tips for using the map

Toggle layers on/off by clicking on the Map Display Options on the right hand side.
Move around the map by clicking and dragging, or use the location headings at the top (Queenstown/Arrowtown/Wanaka) to quickly jump to that town.
Zoom in and out by using either the + and - buttons in the top left, or the scroll wheel on your mouse.

To close the map, just click the black map tab at the bottom right - the same tab you clicked to open it.
